Abstract

This paper focuses on the studies of TCP enhancements and TCP-friendly mechanisms for mobile wireless networks, and introduces a new transport protocol: stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) and its mobility support function, with analysis on the SCTP performance optimization scheme in the mobile Internet.
