The Study about Middle Permian Strata in Vientiane,Laos

Abstract

Middle Permian is the major coal-bearing strata in Vientiane,Laos. By the measured profile and mining inspection,the middle Permian is a set containing Triassic volcano rocks with coal terrigenous clastic deposition,it is Formed in the Delta,tidal flat environment. From top to bottom,Middle Permian can be divided into the Nan Kangxang group( P2nk),the Nanla group( P2nl) and Hui Xinnan groups( P2hx). The three group of brachiopods belong to Urushtenia-Monticulfera combination and Taeniotherus-Costiferina combination,most bryozoans are the major molecular of Hexagonella fauna. The chronostratigraphy of three group belongs to middle Permian.
