The National Revolution and the development of Chinese political modernization

Abstract

Political modernization is an important part of Chinese society modernization. The National Revolution accelerated the development of Chinese political modernization. It overthrew the rule of Bei Yang government. In the period of the national revolution, KMT and CCP put the democracy founding into practice. The National Revolution broadened the range of the people's political participation, it protested against imperialism, protected the state's sovereignty partly. Meanwhile, we should realize that the KMT Nanjing government after the National Revolution became a new barrier to the development of Chinese society modernization.
