Abstract

Skinfold thickness and body composition of newborn infants are important indexes of evaluating the nutritional status of newborns. The tool and method of measuring skinfold thickness were given, the related factors of skinfold thickness and the method of assessing body composition from skinfold thickness were introduced too. This paper stated simply also the significance of skinfold thickness and body composition of newborn infants.
