Abstract
Based on present status of desertification in Chaidamu Basin, the factors including annual precipitation, evaporation, forest coverage, gradient, soil organism, population density,GDP,the proportion of revenue of agriculture and animal husbandry to social revenue were selected as indexes for ecological security evaluation, and the scope of each factor's impact was also calculated. As a result,83.06% of land in the basin was under secondary security, and 16.94% was comparatively less security.According to the analysis and evaluation, the paper proposes the relevant suggestions and measures for desertification control of Chaidamu basin.
