Abstract

In order to find the relation between the early jade unearthed from Wu area and Meiling jade,discussions are given on the chemical composition of Meiling jade and the early jade unearthed from Wu area,the geographic position of Meiling jade unearthed and the factor that the material used to make jade was often from nearby area of the workshop.Based on the characteristic of formation of Meiling jade and the literature of the jade unearthed in Wu area,the paper arrived at a conclusion that there was a close relation between the early jade unearthed from Wu area and Meiling jade.
