Abstract
Military Science of Sun Tzu was spread to Japan in about the fourth or fifth century and at latest the sixth century.Jibeizhenbei was not the first to introduce Military Science of Sun Tzu to Japan.In Japan,the research into Military Science of Sun Tzu experienced three stages.The first stage is from the Nailiang Period to the Shiding Period (710—1603) and it was hidden secretly and inherited from generation to generation.The second stage is the Jianghu Period(1603—1868),during which Military Science of Sun Tzu had been published and annotated.The third stage is a period of integration and development from the Mingzhi Period to the present(1868—).Each stage has it's different characteristics.Therefore,Japan is the country where Military Science of Sun Tzu is most extensively applied
