Abstract

In this paper,The Gini coefficient of urban residents in 2002-2011 was calculated and disintegrated according to income source structure.The results show that,the urban residents Gini coefficient in recent years appeared volatility rising trend.The wage income has a positive effect on reducing the income gap among urban residents,but this role is decreasing continuously.In the non-wage income,operating income and property income have a negative effect on reducing the income gap among urban residents,and the effect is increasing.The transfer income has been playing a role in narrowing the income gap only in recent years,but the efficacy has been weakening and shrinking.
