Abstract

In Mr.Yeh Chiaying's opinion,the aesthetic quality of Chinese classical poetry should be understood in the un-separated world in which the mind and matter can not be separated.The world of un-separated is summarized by Mr.Yeh as the effect of or voicing.From the angle of noumenon,this is the realm of sympathy in great lifeof the Universe.From the angle of appearance or experience,this sympathy of great life is just the essence of human being,or thesincerityof ethical world in human spirit.In Mr.Yeh's point of view,this sincerityin which the mind and matter can not be separated should be the key to the descriptive,metaphorical and inspiring tradition in Chinese classical poetry.
