Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of spinal anesthesia with 0.67% ropivacaine or 0.5% bupivacaine for caesarean section. Methods Sixty parturient undergoing caesarean section were randomly divided into 2 groups(n=30 each): 0.67% ropivacaine group(group R)and 0.5% bupivacaine group(group B).Two groups received spinal anesthesia with 0.67% ropivacaine 1.8 ml or 0.5% bupivacaine respectively. The condition of sense and motion blockade, adverse effect, relaxant condition of abdominal muscle, satisfaction, and Apgar score of neonate were recorded. Results All parturient received operation successfully under spinal anesthesia.Compared with group B,the onset time of sense and motion blockade increased significantly(p0.05).The sense blockade of thoracic vertebra level of group R was lower as compared to group B(p0.05).Compared with group B,the incidences of hypotension, bradycardia, nausea and vomiting, dyspnea, shivering, postoperative cacesthesia of lower limber, headache were decreased significantly(p0.05).The satisfaction level of group R was higher than that of group B(p0.05).There were no differences between two groups of the abdominal muscle relaxant condition and Apgar score(p0.05).Conclusion Spinal anesthesia with 0.67% ropivacaine or 0.5% bupivacaine can be applied to caesarean section.Ropivacaine caused less adverse effect than bupivacaine, and provided higher satisfaction level.
