Abstract
Objective: To determine the serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9),carbohydrate antigen 24-2(CA24-2),carbohydrate antigen 72-4(CA72-4) in patients with gastric cancer, and investigate the relationship between serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 and disease progression. Methods: Levels of serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 were detected by Electrochemical luminescence method in 65 healthy controls,69 patients with benign gastrosia and 157 patients with gastric cancer.Interclass difference was analyzed by SPSS13.0 software. Results: Serum levels and positive rates of CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 in Gastric cancer group were obviously higher than those in benign tumor group and normal control group(P0.05);The levels of serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 and the postive rates were correlated with TNM stages of gastric cancer. The levels of serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 and differentiation of gastric cancer have statistical significance(P0.05; r=0.7243;r=0.8701;r=0.9213).Conclusion: Serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 levels in different courses of gastric cancer patients had significant differences, which related to differentiation grade of gastric cancer. The higher cancer staging and the lower the tissue differentiation was,the higher the level of serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 would be. Variation of serum CA19-9,CA24-2,CA72-4 may have clinical significance on the judgment of progression, curative effect and prognosis of gastric cancer.
