Abstract

Block No.12 in Area 2 of Gangdong oilfield is a complex fault block reservoir of fluvial facies. In order to improve oil and gas development and produce remaining oil, a quantitative 3D visualized geological model has been established through structure modeling, sedimentary micro facies modeling and attribute modeling. The model has been used in numerical simulation and geology research of this block and achieved effective results. This provides precedent for facies-controlled modeling of complex block reservoirs of fluvial facies.
