Abstract
Objective To investigate the X-ray and CT finding of long bone ossifying fibroma. Methods X-ray plain films were performed in all 16 patients with long bone ossifying fibroma which was confirmed by pathology and surgery,of all 16 patients,CT was performed in 8 patients. Results In 16 cases, long bone ossifying fibroma was diagnosed by X-ray in 11 cases, misdiagnosed in 5 cases. In 8 cases, long bone ossifying fibroma was diagnosed by CT in 7 cases, misdiagnosed in 1cases.Conclusion CT can improve the correct diagnosis of long bone ossifying fibroma and can more clearly demonstrate the extension of lesions than X-ray plain film, which is important for clinical treatment.
