On Wang Meng's Poetic Novels

Abstract

Poetic novels are an important part of Wang Meng's works as well as the contemporary evolution of modern Chinese poetic novels.His poetic novels have gone through three different historical stages.In terms of aesthetic qualities,they are the products of dreams and poetry,endowed with a strong ideal flavor.Their artistic forms are characterized by features of soul stories and polyphony novels.
