CT and MRI Diagnosis of Complications after Liver Transplantation

Abstract

Objective:To study the CT and MRI findings of complications following liver transplantation.Methods:The CT and MRI appearances in twenty-eight patients with complications after liver transplantation,which were confirmed by surgery,liver biospy,or angiography/cholangiography,were analyzed retrospectively.Results:Of these 24 patients,there were stenosis of main trunk of portal vein anastomosis(n=4),stenosis of hepatic arterial anastomosis(n=3),stenosis of inferior vena cava anastomosis(n=1),stenosis of bile duct anastomosis(n=3),non-anastomotic stenosis of bile ducts at the portal region(n=4),transplant rejection(n=4),hepatic carcinoma recurrence(n=7).Conclusions:CT and MRI can demonstrate most of the complications and are valuable in the diagnosis of complications after liver transplantation.
