Review on Acupuncture and Massage Therapy for Hemiplegia Spasticity after Stroke

According to the epidemiological investigation,the incidence of stroke in our country is the second in the world,and the onset age has a young trend.It has become one of the main diseases.According to different phases,the hemiplegia spasm stage which seriously impact the patients′quality of life,has become a major clinical problem.The acupuncture and massage therapy in traditional Chinese medicine has played a significant advantage in rehabilitation of hemiplegia spasm stage and improved prognosis obviously.Through the clinical practice,the literature research,from acupuncture and moxibustion parts(head needling,body acupuncture,Jiaji needling,Du meridian needling,etc.),massage(rolling,palm-brushing,knead and other manipulations),this article reviewed the advantage of acupuncture and massage treatment of post-stroke hemiplegia.
