Anti-cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibodies in Patients with Rheumatoid Diagnosis

Objective To compare the diagnostic value of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies(anti-CCP),rheumatoid factor (RF) in rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods Anti-CCP antibodies and RF of 54 cases(RA 24 cases,non-RA 30 cases) and 20 normal controls were detected at the same time,by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and latex agglutination test.Results The-positive rates of two kinds of antibody was significantly higher than non-RA group(P0.01).There was no significant difference between anti-CCP(79.1%) and RF(87.5%) for the diagnosis of RA sensitivity(P0.05).The diagnosis specificity of anti-CCP antibodies(96%) was significantly higher than the RF(72%)(P0.01).Conclusion Anti-CCP antibodies have a moderate sensitivity and high specificity in the diagnosis of RA and has a good application value;combined with the detection of anti-CCP antibody and RF,the sensitivity will be higher.
