The Features of “Ru He”Used as Subject and Some Related Issues

Ru heused as a subject in modern Chinese language is a representative of the function of subject in the language family of interrogative pronoun he. Although it is frequenty used,it is only used in the structure of how+ is / relative pronoun + y. In the Tang and Song Dynasties,the function of interrogative pronoun used as subject was unitary. Whether this kind of pronoun can be used in the subject position is closely related to its identifiable characteristics. As the interrogative pronoun of a high degree is able to add subjects of a talk,it can be used as a subject. If the interrogative pronoun of low degree is used as a subject,it is likely to lead to conflicts of many aspects in the inner language.
