Abstract
In recent years, with the deepening of exploration in Tarim basin, the focus of exploration is transformed from shallow layers to deep layers. As one of the oldest petroliferous layers in platform-basin transitional area of Tarim basin, More and more attention has been paid to Cambrian by petroleum geologists. This paper is one part of the latest research achievements of national basic research program project. On the basis of recovering the evolution history of four controlling factors (paleo-anticline, source rock, regional cap rock and kinematic equilibrium belt), the model of multi-factor recombination and processes superimposition is adopted to predict the favorable exploration area of Cambrian. The predicting result is not only in good coincidence with oil and gas fields found, but also indicates undiscovered potential favorable exploration area, which will further direct the exploration on Cambrian of Tarim basin.
