Abstract
From October 2014 to March 2015,the behaviors of whooper swan in Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Wetland Park in winter were observed by the method of transient observation,and the proportion of each behavior was statistically calcu lated. The results showed that in the early winter(November and December),the swans spent most of their time on swimming(49%),and human activities can greatly influence the behaviors of swan. In the mid winter(January),due to food shortage,swimming decreased to 25%,while sleeping increased to 49%. In the end of winter(February and March),feeding and preening increased,while sleeping decreased.
