Abstract
Objective: To study the relationship between apolipoprotein E(APOE)promoter(-219G/T)polymorphisms and the risk of age-related macular degeneration(AMD).Methods: APOE-219G/T genetype in AMD group(50 cases)and control group(95 persons)was identified by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism genotyping technique. Results: No significant difference was found between two groups on the distribution of APOE-219G/T genotype. Conclusion: The APOE-219G/T polymorphisms do not contribute to AMD risk.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
