Abstract

In handling the bauxite of middlelow quality (A/S=5±), this paper studies the effect of alkaliratio, sinteringtemperature and sinteringtime on the yield of Al2O3. The result shows that it is the optimum condition for onestage sintering when alkaliratio is 1.2, sintering temperature 1100℃ and sinteringtime 40 min. The effect of lixiviating conditions on separating out SiO2 is also studied. 
