Abstract

With the development of remote sensing, the field BRDF(Bidirectional reflectance distribution function)measurements become more important. In the field, measurements require short time, enough positions and high spectral resolution. An automated measurement system is designed meeting the requirements. The system includes an automated goniometer and two spectroradiometers. The radius of goniometer is 2m.The goniometer system consists of a zenith,an azimuth, two servomotors and a PLC(Programmable logic controller). One spectrometer placed on goniometer sled measures reflectance, inputting irradiance is measured. Two spectroradiometers have the same flat field diffraction gratings and linear sensors and cover the 400-2500nm range with the resolution of 3.5nm(400-1000nm)and 12nm(1000-2500nm).System is controlled by IPC(Industrial personal computer)to make auto measurements. When performed with default auto set measurements is about 10 min.
