Abstract

This paper discusses the trade effect of American regional economic integration policy on its manufactured goods during 1981-2009 based on the US-Mexico bilateral trade data,which sets the time that US joining the North American Free Trade Agreement as the time limit.The research finds that NAFTA didn't bring about strong trade diversion ef-fects while brought about obvious trade creation effects.
