Abstract
The relation between objective physical characters and subjective annoyance from vehicle interior noise was studied.5 different exhaust configurations were installed on a vehicle respectively, interior noise and psychoacoustic indexes at various operating speeds were calculated, also subjective annoyance was evaluated.Firstly, these indexes were classified according to the similarity among them by means of cluster analysis.Secondly, quantities which are the best indication of interior annoyance were selected using factor analysis combined with correlation analysis. Finally, multiple linear regression was introduced to build vehicle interior annoyance evaluation models at mid-low and mid-high speeds, respectively, they were verified using correlation check with subjective evaluation results.
