Discussion on the value of competitive intelligence of patent document

This paper discussed the value of patent document in the field of competitive intelligence study from the three aspects that the concepts and the features of patent and patent-documentation, the competitive intelligence function of patent documents information and the effect of the patent documents in the field of competitive intelligence study. Meanwhile, it discusses mainly the functions of patent documentation in the field of law, technology and economy function as well as the patent documentation's value to enterprises from four aspects such as competitor analysis, enterprise patent strategy, the trend and level of industry technology development, avoiding repeated study and so on.
