Abstract

On the basis of Cyril J.Weir's Unified Validity Theory,the paper makes an analytical research on the validity of Practical English Test for Colleges(Level A) in terms of the theory-based validity,context validity,scoring validity,criterion-related validity and consequential validity.The study concludes that the validity of the PRETCO test turns out to be high,but there is still some room for improvement.
