Clinical application of therapeutic plateletpheresis in patients with abnormally thrombocytosis after splenectomy

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic plateletpheresis on abnormally thrombocytosis patients after splenectomy.Methods Twelve abnormally thrombocytosis patients after splenectomy were enrolled.Therapeutic plateletpheresis was performed with CS 3000 Plus blood cell seperator.At same time,antiplatelet and antithrombotic therapies were also used.White blood cell(WBC),platelet(PLT),red blood cell(RBC) and hemoglobin(Hb) of patients were detected,and the clinical symptoms and signs were observed before and after plateletpheresis.Results PLT of patients decreased markedly from(1 704±546)×109/L to(499±77)×109/L(P0.05) after plateletpheresis,and clinical symptoms and signs of patients relieved or eliminated.There was no bleeding or thrombosis in 12 patients.Conclusion Therapeutic plateletpheresis is one of the safe,effective methods in the treatment of abnormally thrombocytosis patients after splenectomy.
