Abstract

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Kang Danyu(KDY) decoction,a Chinese preparation,on intrahepatic cholestasis in pregnance(ICP).Method:All ICP patients who labored in our hospital were chosen from out patient department and in patient departnent.195 cases in treatment group took KDY decoction which has effect of clearing away heat and dispersing the depressed liver qi.76 cases in control group were expectantly treated with western drugs.Result:The total effective rate was 85.2% in treatment group, while 6.85% in control group. The serum total bile acid(TBA)and blood cholyl glycine(CG) in treatment group were obviously decreased after treatment. The difference between two groups was significant (P0.01).The rate of cesarean section in treatment group was lower than that in control group. The weight of newborn in treatment group was more than that in control group. Conclusion:KDY decoction has obvious therapeatic effect on decreasing the rate of cesarean section, reducing the rate of premature labor, increasing the weight of newborn in ICP patients.
