Abstract
Cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)haploid plants were successfully recovered from the unample seeds of parthenocarpic plants EC1(gynoecious),L8(monoecious)and F2(L8×6429)through embryo culture.34 haploid plantlets in total were regenerated.The results obtained indicated that the growing time of the parthenocarpic fruit and the rate of the parthenocarpic fruit of the cucumber plants had influences on the number of seeds in each fruit and inducing embryos to plantlets.The high concentration of 6-benzyl aminopurine(6-BA)in solid culture medium had better effects on inducing embryos to plantlets.
