Abstract
The three gorges project is unprecedented and so is the salvage of the cultural relics in this area. Over one thousand archeologists from two thirds of the archeological units of China formed 100 teams to salvage the cultural relics on more than 100 archeological work sites. These archeologists have made a great contribution to the preservation of cultural relics of China.
