The usage of "qi jian" and the research on its Grammaticalization

Abstract
The paper firstly concludes the usage of qijianas a Noun and its syntactic distribution from corpus study of official Newspapers.Among the various samples,adverbial use of it occurred in 1976.From the angle of preposition omission--reference agreement—reference omission,the grammaticalization of qijianis explained.Besides the grammatical side,the paper also points out the strongest motivation of any grammaticalization is economy in communication.
