A study of the origins of "communication"

The first Chinese word chuanbo(传播)was found in the imperial edict of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty in about 599 A.D.(in the book History of the North:Turk's History).Now the word chuanbofrom Chuanboxue(Communication theories)is the Chinese translation of the English word communication.Taiwan started using chuanbo in 1944,while the Mainland China began using this meaning in 1982.The verb form of communication is communicate,which originated from communis(共同) possesses the meanings of the two-way exchange,transport,collude with and the one-way transmit,deliver,relay etc.The Chinese word chuanbo is made up of two Chinese synonyms chuan bo,each has its own origins reaches the same goal by different routes.The two characters have been finalized as a term frequently seen used together.
