Abstract

The electrooptical functions of the liquid crystal display, such as contrast, luminance etc., are greatly correlative with used polarizers. The polarizers will graduallyage along with usage. Their optical functions will descend gradually. If the polarizers areused or stored in a infelicitous environment, they will accelerativly age, and their opticalfunctions will accelerativly descend, even to be disabled entirely. The ammonia is a kind ofalkaline gas, it may make chemical responses with organic compounds in the polarizers, result in the polarizers' fast disability. This article lays emphasis on the verification byexperiments about ammonia' influences to the polarizers ,and compares the sufferinginfluences of two familiar styles of Iodine polarizer and Dyestuff polarizer. It will put forwarda request for the environment in which polarizers are used or stored .
