Abstract
Osteopontin and its related molecules are closely associated with tumor metastasis.Transcriptional factors interact with promoter elements(e.g.RAE,Tcf-4or AP-1 binding sequences,RE-1) to regulate the expression of osteopontin.Osteopontin participates many processes of tumor metastasis through enhancing cell adhesion,increasing the secretion of MMPs or uPA,activating the receptors of growth factors and promoting angiogenesis.The mechanisms of these molecules faciliating tumor metastasis are discussed below.
