Abstract
Based on the measurements of 104 cows of Fuzhou cattle in two conservation farms of Liaon- ing province in 2004,the correlations between body weight and age as well as body sizes including body length, body height, heart girth, and cannon circumference were analyzed, meanwhile the regression e- quation was established to predict the body weight of cows. The correlation coefficients of body weight with body height, body length, heart girth, cannon circumference, and ages were 0.798,0.644,0.678,—0.167,and 0.406,respectively,all correlations were significant(P<0.01) except that between body weight and cannon circumference. The correlation coefficient of predicted and measured values from two regression equations were 0.923 and 0.922(P<0.01),respectively.
