Abstract
High resistance foil like manganin gauge for lower shock pressure measurement was designed and calibrated in a series of planar shock wave experiments. The calibrated curve obtained is linear in the range of 0.3~1.5 GPa and quadratic for higher stresses (1.5~9.4 GPa). The linear portion is attributed to the elastic behavior of the gauge. The inflexion of the curve was found to be at 1.5 GPa and is in accordance with the other’s experiment result.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
