The Species of the Insect Scale of South China and Research Situation

The scale insects(Hemiptera:Coccoidea) are a major group of pests on fruit trees and ornamental plants worldwide.This paper inquired and systemized about 30 years paper of insect scale in south China.The result showed that the insect scale causing damage on fruit trees and ornamental plants were mainly Pseudococcidae,Diaspididae and Coccidae in South China,while Asterolecaniidae,Margarididae,Porphyrophora,Lacciferidae were less reported.The research status of the insect scale in South China were summerized and the study for insect scale in future was prospected.
