The integration of agricultural industrialization and informatization to accelerate Chinese modern agriculture development——an interpretation of “National Modern Agriculture Development Plan”

The first National Modern Agriculture Development Plan issued on Feb.13,2012 is a programmatic document for the development of Chinese modern agriculture in the next 5-10 years.It presents a blueprint for modern agriculture development integrating agricultural industrialization and information technology in the new era.This paper focuses on the guidelines,basic principles and development goals put forward in the Plan,discusses on the mechanism that is to promote the development of modern agriculture :agricultural industrialization is the basis and driving force while agricultural informatization is an important means and a fundamental requirement for the development of modern agriculture.Their integration has an irreplaceable position.The paper fully demonstrates from both theory and practice that the integration of agricultural industrialization and informatization is the correct way for China's agricultural modernization.
