Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) combined with transcatheter arterial chemoemblization (TACE)in treating advanced primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods 126 cases with unresectary advanced primary hepatocellular carcinoma were selected for observation from March 2002 to November 2004, 115 cases were treated with RFA after TACE, and regularly examine the value of AFP ,B-ultrasound or CT .11 caces were treated with RFA 1~2weeks before TACE .Results All of caces were well treated with RFA and TACE , 121 cases were followed up ,5 cases lost follow-up,survival time 4~5months. Mean survival time was (8± 3.1 )months , no death or severe complications. Conclusion RFA combined with TACE is an effective method for treating advanced primary hepatocellular carcinoma.
