Abstract
The reactivity ratios of copolymerization of 4 vinylpyridine and acrylamide were detetmined. The absorbency of various concentration poly(4 vinyl pyridine) could be determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry, the working curve could be built and the content of copolymer of various initial monomer composition could be measured. Monomer reactivity ratios were calculated and compared using both FR and KT methods. The results showed that the reactivity ratios determined using KT constructing method and YBR calculating method are more accurate, and the monomer reactivity ratios of 4VP and AM were r 4VP =0.636, r AM =0.379.
