Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of tension-free hernia repair in adult inguinal hernia . Methods Treatment of 965 inguinal hernia cases by Mesh-plug or Lichtenstein hernia repair ,summarized clinical data to assess the effects. Results In 965 cases ,operation time was 30 to 60 min, average was 39 min. Hospital stay after operation was 3 to 8 days, average was 5 days. Patients were followed up 6 to 24 months,4 cases of recurrence,2 cases of infection ,no intractable pain. Conclusions tension-free hernia repair with low recurrence rate, short hospital stay and fewer complications ,is a safe and effective method in inguinal hernia treatment.
