Abstract

In order to discuss the saline-alkaloid-resistant ability of smooth brome, different concentration of saline-alkaloid liquor(0,20,40,60,80,100,120 mmol·L-1)mixed with NaCl,Na2SO4,NaHCO3 and Na2CO3 were used in smooth brome seed germination process. The effects of different concentration saline-alkaloid stress on the seed germination and seedling growth of three smooth brome varieties were studied. The results showed that low concentration of saline-alkaloid stress improved seed germination ability of mancher, and the other two varieties performing for the inhibition. When the saline-alkaloid concentration was under 60 mmol·L-1,the germination rate, germination index, vigor index and seedling growth were not significant(P0.05);While the saline-alkaloid concentration was exceed 60 mmol·L-1,all indexes fell sharply, and very significant difference compared to that of the control(P0.01).When the saline-alkaloid concentration was more than 20 mmol·L-1,the growth of seedling of three smooth brome varieties were inhibited, inhibition of root was higher than seedling inhibitory.
