On the Definition of Convex-Concave Functions

Abstract
This article compares the different definitions of c ho rd method and tangential method on convex concave functions in the courses of Analysis of Mathematics and Higher Mathematics,and based on this puts forward th e definition for polygonal line method involving both analysis and direct observ ation.On the basis of this definition,the article briefly presents the related r esults about continuity of convex concave functions and existence of left and r ight derivatives etc.
