Expression of IGF-I and HIF-1αin Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Its Clinical Significance

Objective:To investigate the expressions of IGF-Iand HIF 1α in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and their clinical significance.Methods:The expressions of IGF-I and HIF-1α in 54 cases of HCC and normal liver tissues were studied by immunohistochemistry assay.Results:The expressions of IGF-I and HIF-1α protein in hepatocellular Carcinoma was significantly higher than in normal livertissues(χ2=9.112,13.369;P0.05).The expression of HIF-1α was positively associated with IGF-1(rs=0.539,P0.05).The expression of HIF-1a was significantly correlated with ability of invasion and metastasis.The expressions of IGF-I protein in HCC with AFP≥400 μg/ml were significantly higher than in HCC with AFP400 μg/ml.Conclusion:The expressions of IGF-I and HIF-1α can reflect the biological behavior of HCC.they are important indexes for HCC invasion and metastasis.
