Application of Factor Analysis to the Comparative Study of Urban Logistic Capability in Jiangsu Province

Abstract

Taking 13 cities in Jiangsu Province as the sample and choosing 6 indicators representing their logistic capability,this paper establishes an index system for the evaluation of urban logistic capability. Then,in the light of factor analysis,it gives a comparative study of urban logistic capability of the 13 cities. The result shows that the logistic capability is best in southern Jiangsu,better in middle Jiangsu and worst in northern Jiangsu. In the end,the paper presents some policy suggestions on promoting the urban logistic capability.
