Abstract
The development of the Bosten Lake basin will be adversely affected by its water quality deterioration and wetland ecosystem degenerated.Based on the water quality data of the rivers flowing the Bosten Lake from 2005 to 2007,combining methods of system analye and comprehensive pollution index were used to analysis and evaluate the water quality of the Bosten Lake.The results indicated that,the synthesis pollution index had decreased from 2005 to 2007,and the water quality had improved slightly.Solubility total solids,sulfate and chloride were major factors affecting the water quality in the latest 3 years.The measures were put forward to control water quality of agricultural drainage and rivers which flow into the lake.
