Abstract
Twenty-four melon cultivars were used to evaluate the salt tolerance by determining the salt tolerance coefficient of germination percentage, germination rate, germination index, bud length, bud fresh weight under salt stress by the method of subordinate function, and a cluster analysis was made on the salt tolerance, according to the sum subordinate function. It was observed that the appropriate concentration of NaCl for the evaluation of salt tolerance was 150 mmol/L.Four varieties resistance to salt and 7 varieties sensitive to salt were selected.
