Abstract

Based on a truss bridge with multi-transversal-beam monolithic deck, the transfer routes of the load were studied with 3D FEM.And the formula of the load transfer ratio was given. The results show that in multi-transversal-beam monolithic deck, bottom chord elements endure bending moment in vertical direction as well as axial force. And the bending moment is related to the load transfer ratio of the transversal beams in the panel. When three transversal beams are set in the panel, the load transfer ratio of the transversal beams in the panel is about 0.6,which relates to the ratio λ1 of the vertical stiffness of bottom chord elements to that of the floor system(including longitudinal beams, longitudinal ribbed stiffeners and deck) and the ratio λ2 of the vertical stiffness of a transversal beam in the panel to that of a transversal beam at the chord joint, and it becomes greater with the increase of λ1 and λ2.
