Abstract
Based on Theil index,this paper discusses the provincial equity of basic public educational resources.The results show that full-time teachers,teaching and assistant buildings etc.educational resources are generally allocated in balance,but the inequity of teachers with high educational attainment,value of equipment and instructions,educational investment is still striking.Eastern provinces take possession of more educational resources,while middle and western provinces has less.Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Beijing and Shanghai have the highest level of educational resources allocation,while Henan and Guizhou have the lowest.The equity of educational resources in urban areas is better than that of rural areas,and the equity of educational resources of secondary schools is better than that of primary schools.
